Attendees at this year’s Matric Awards ceremony had tears in their eyes when they heard about the challenging circumstances some candidates faced while at school.
Brian Schreuder, Head of Department, sent the following message to principals, teachers and administrative staff this week, celebrating the end of 2019: The “Year of the Learner.”
Learners can look forward to activities like snorkling, beach cleanups, yoga, arts and crafts, as well as indigenous games as part of holiday activities organised by the Safe Schools division of the Western Cape Education Department.
