South Africa mourns today...and the world joins us. RIP Nelson Mandela. RIP father. You will be missed...so very much.

An Icon indeed #Tata uMadiba. R.I.P

I did not have the privilege of meeting you personally. In the end it did not matter because all we required as a people was knowing that we still had you. You brought us hope, you gave us freedom and you led this beautiful country by example. When I got the news of your passing last night I felt both a great sense of loss and relieve, knowing that your work on earth is done and your suffering complete. Thank you for what you have done for us. May your sole rest in peace and may this country honour your memory in all it does.

Condolences to the Mandela family and the whole South African nation. Madiba was one of the greatest men that ever lived. The world is mourning with you. Bob Fransman Antwerp, Belgium

Thank you for the sacrifice that you made for all of us South Africans ,uniting us .You were a great hero and will be sadly missed. Your memories and spirit will live on.R.I.P.tata Madiba.

"I dream of an Africa which is in peace with itself"- Nelson Mandela. Lets hope that his dream comes true. RIP tata, my father, our father.

Oh when you smiling the whole world smiles with you ...Every man shall do his duty ..you did it all for a proudly South African nation..rest in peace.

A very impressive presence which I was privileged to meet in 1992 at the home of Jannie Momberg in Stellenbosh and share some thoughts with on normalisation of sport and our mutual connection with James and Gloria Gregory who shared with Madiba the loss of their children. Truly the architect of a unique solution to a troubled society and a great statesman characterised by true humility and profound insight into the complexities of human nature.Let us dedicate ourselves to the realisation of his vision for South Africa

Rest well, Tata. Thank you for everything you did for this world. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to live the life that we do; free from hatred, discrimination and prejudice, and that if we do encounter them we should not stop fighting to remove them.

May your soul rest in peace Tata Madiba. you have done great things for our country, will always remember you
