The Mass participation; Opportunity and access; Development and growth (MOD) Programme is the flagship after school programme run by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS).

The Department of Education's (WCED) ePortal is a platform that provides teachers & parents with the necessary online tools and resources to help learners to improve their educational results.

The YearBeyond programme is a partnership between the Western Cape Government and NGOs aimed at improving educational outcomes and encouraging a culture of volunteerism in selected schools.

The Western Cape Government is working with a number of NGO's on our after school programmes across the province.

The Department of Social Development (DSD) provides funding to a number of NGO run partial care facilities offering after school programmes across the province.

Several local authorities run After School Programmes at municipal libraries and sports facilities. The WCG has partnered with some local authorities such as the City of Cape Town and the Drakenstein Municipality.
