Swop Shop
Our organisation commits to support the establishment of swop shops in the Philippi community and ensure that the swop shop operator and the six other volunteers obtain environmental education and skills or training that will help them realise recycling as a possible entrepreneurial opportunity. We commit to train seven women where one is employed to run the swop shop and the other six help with separation of garbage. By December 2014, these women will have gained entrepreneurial skills and certificates of recognition through the training workshops and participating in the recycling projects.
