Stanford Food Heroes
During the year of the 110% Green Initiative, the initiative commits to promoting the concept of bringing local food consumers and local food heroes together as much as possible within the Stanford area. This will be done by:
1. Lobbying for the production of more brochures
2. Supporting local food heroes by lobbying for a dedicated Stanford Food Hero section in local markets.
3. Lobbying to ensure that the marketing of Stanford includes the promotion of Stanford Food Heroes by monthly updates through the Stanford Info Gravevine magazine and making sure there is information in the local magazine (Stanford River Talk).
4. Lobbying to ensure that Stanford Food Heroes are promoted via the internet.
5. Working hard to ensure that local businesses, in particular restaurants and guesthouses and hotels, are aware of the initiative and have brochures available for guests.
