We will continue to establish new businesses in the green recycling arena and create an additional 100 jobs over the next 12 months. The Company will provide solutions to the City and its inhabitants, redirecting green refuse and other organic waste material from overflowing landfills, adding value to it and putting the much needed nutrients back into the already depleted soil of the Western Cape. We are committed to reduce the City's carbon footprint by preventing the emission of methane, a noxious greenhouse gas with a global warming potential 23 times that of carbon dioxide. We undertake to reduce up to 150 000 CO2t in the coming year and to spend approximately R1 million on local community projects. Reliance will continue it's partnership with like-minded companies (Greenpop, Avalon, Oranjezicht City Farm, City Sightseeing, Nedbank, MixTelematics, etc) and advocate tree plantings, establishment of vegetable gardens, greening of schools and pupil education.
