The Department of Transport and Public Works is now accepting applications for the 12-month Further Education and Training Certificate: Road Traffic Law Enforcement starting on 17 January 2022 at the Gene Louw College (GLTC) in Brackenfell, Cape Town. The closing date for these applications is 8 October 2021.
If funded posts become available, graduates of this course may be offered permanent employment at one of the following Provincial Traffic Centres:
- Worcester
- Laingsburg
- Beaufort West
- Brackenfell
- Somerset West
- George
- Mossel Bay
- Knysna
- Vredenburg
- Vredendal
During the training, students will be expected to:
- Enforce road traffic, public passenger and transport legislation,
- Provide visible traffic control/ policing and promote/ undertake crime prevention activities, and
- Perform all necessary administrative activities and related duties.
