Tomorrow, Tuesday 20 June 2023, Western Cape Minister of Mobility Ricardo Mackenzie will hand over decision letters to minibus taxi operators who have applied for an operating licence in the Brackengate area. These letters will notify them that the application has been successful and the operating licence is ready to be ‘uplifted’.
These new operating licences will enable the applicants to operate to and from the Brackengate Industrial area, where there is a noted influx of job opportunities. This will better serve citizens and the economy while staving off tensions in the minibus taxi industry.
