Due to the current rainy season as well as cold and wet conditions at the area of repair the final layers of the affected road cannot be constructed.
Therefore, a temporary gravel surface has been placed on the road and the road will be opened to road users from 1 July 2022. We are aiming for 12pm.
This section of MR355 remains a construction zone and road users should always be cautious.
Temporary signage will be placed along the route to warn motorists and road users are urged to take note of these warnings and obey the speed limit.
Road users should be aware of changing weather conditions that may affect the temporary surface and always be vigilant in this regard.
Construction of the final road layers will commence later in this year when more favourable weather conditions for construction prevail.
