Community based organisation that offers (out-patient) awareness and prevention, early intervention, treatment, & aftercare are services offered to a person who uses drugs and alcohol in a hazardous & harmful way, and whose behaviour affects the people around him/her negatively. Community based intervention involves attending regular sessions at a community based organisation, and is often equally effective as residential care but less costly.
