Garden Route budget engagement

Western Cape Finance Minister, Dr Ivan Meyer addressed local businesses from the Garden route district to highlight key budget priorities within the Province.

Over the next three years, R18.119 billion will be spent to deliver services to citizens in the Garden Route district. Of the R67 billion 2019/20 Western Cape Budget, R5.796 billion is allocated to this region.The Western Cape Government is committed to delivering on its main priority of accelerating economic growth, creating an enabling environment which attracts investment and stimulating job creation for citizens of the Province.

The budget is one for jobs, service delivery, safety, youth, infrastructure, climate change and good governance.

A panel discussion with various experts discussed projects and plans aimed at growing the economy and developing communities.
