Health Services at Tafelsig Clinic to Normal after 23 March

12 March 2007
Due to essential renovations at City Health's Tafelsig Clinic in Mitchells Plain it was initially expected that the provision of health services to the community would be affected from 23 February until 9 March 2007. The builders have, however, encountered problems and the work will only be completed by 23 March 2007.

The renovations are creating dust and noise and staff are not able to provide the full range of services under these conditions. Therefore immunisation, attending to sick children and family planning is being provided at the Eastridge Clinic. The other services continue at the clinic e.g. adult's chronic services; repeat medication, daily tuberculosis treatment, Voluntary Counselling and Testing.

Patients must please bring their appointment cards and pill packets as the staff might not be able to access records over this period.

City Health apologises for any inconvenience caused.
