The aim of the event is to get as many people as possible to view our night skies through a telescope to celebrate the observations Galileo made 400 years ago. This is once again part of a worldwide event in which thousands of people will be turning their attention to the heavens. Observations will concentrate on the planet Jupiter and its moons.
Professional astronomers will be on hand to deliver fascinating talks and guide the viewing through the powerful telescopes.
