City Parks Hikes Up Hiv/Aids Information Campaign

The City of Cape Town's Parks Department (Central Region) will run a HIV/Aids Information Campaign at the Bellville Transport Interchange (Taxi Rank). Peer Educators will be present to inform and educate commuters. Brochures and free vouchers to attend the nearby VCT Clinic will be distributed. This is an initiative of the Parks Department above their core responsibilities to reach out to the communities and make a contribution to educate the broader public regarding the HIV/Aids epidemic.

Venue: Taxi Rank, Bellville Transport Interchange

Despite preventative measures taking place, HIV/Aids infections are still on the increase. Approximately 66 000 people pass through this public interchange per day making it an ideal location to reach, educate and positively influence the life styles of a large number of the residents of our city.
