City Invites District Six Claimants to Follow-Up Workshop on Development Framework

5 June 2006
The City of Cape Town, as one of the partners in the District Six redevelopment process, advises all validated and verified claimants for District Six that the second round of workshops on the Development Framework will be held in four one-and-a-half hour sessions from 09:00 -17:00 on Saturday, 10 June 2006. The venue will be the Woodstock Town Hall.

Claimants will receive letters inviting them to one of the sessions, and they must please bring along their invitation with their claimant number, as an "entrance ticket".

The purpose of the workshops will be to give feedback on the comments and discussion from the claimants in the first round of workshops held in March/April 2006 on the Development Framework (the spatial plan). This will conclude the public involvement on the Development Framework.

The invitation to the Special Meeting indicated incorrectly that these sessions would take place on 3 and 6 June 2006. The District Six Working Group apologises for this error and any inconvenience caused.
