On 25 November 2018 MEC Dan Plato attended the Chrysalis Academy Graduation ceremony held in Tokai where 193 young women received their certification for their success in the numerous programmes offered by the academy.
The graduation comes after the young women’s successful completion of the challenging three month development programme designed for at-risk youth from all over the Western Cape province. The graduates have proceeded with pursuing placement opportunities afforded by Department of Community Safety and its partners that include Municipalities, City Improvement Districts, South African Police Services officers, Community Health centres, Hospitals and at the Chrysalis Academy itself.
