Gene Louw Traffic College: Shaping the future of road safety
Established on 15 September 1989, Gene Louw Traffic College has been at the forefront of road safety education and training for over three decades. The college has proudly trained thousands of traffic officers, municipal police officers, vehicle examiners, and driving licence examiners, not only across the Western Cape and South Africa but also in neighbouring countries such as Botswana.

The Quality Management Evaluation (QME) unit, part of the Traffic Management Chief Directorate, ensures all training provided by the college adheres to strict internal and external policies and procedural guidelines. This ensures that every learner receives education of the highest standard.

Gene Louw Traffic College has garnered national recognition for its excellence. In November 2013, the college was awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence as the Best Traffic Training Centre in South Africa during the Road Traffic Management Corporation Conference in East London.
