With Madiba, South Africa and the world have lost a visionary leader and a courageous voice for peace, democracy and justice. He taught us all to live and work together in peace, and with his own life he set the greatest example and left his indelible footprints. Now it is for us to follow in his footsteps to make this world better by looking beyond what divides us and seeing all the things we have in common. In Upper Austria, partner region of the Western Cape, our hearts go out to our friends in South Africa and the Western Cape – we feel with you and send our deepest condolences.

I am always touched when I see your face and one more important thing about you which links me to you is that you are sharing your birth day with my late Mother and let both your souls rest in Piece.
