Media Accreditation: Festive Lights Switch On

The curtain raiser to the sound and light extravaganza in Adderley Street is a free family carnival at the Company's Garden which takes place as follows:

Date: Sunday, 26 November 2006
Time: 11:00 (11am)
Venue: Company's Garden, Government Avenue, Cape Town

The main stage for the switch-on event is on the Heerengracht Circle in Adderley Street. A fun-filled programme will take place as follows:

Date: Sunday, 26 November 2006
Time: From 16:30 (4.30pm). Switch on at 20:00 (8pm)
Venue: Heerengracht Circle, Adderley Street, Cape Town

Directly after the switch-on a community parade will move from the main stage up Adderley Street and back to the Heerengracht Circle.
