Last night the Deputy Mayor, together with members of the Neighbourhood Watch and the community held a meeting to discuss the drug problem engulfing the residents of Mitchells Plain. At this meeting it was clear to her that the community is tired of crime, drugs and substance abuse.
Cllr Williams together with the Neighbourhood Watch and community members then marched on the various merchants to show their disapproval and disgust. Two merchants have now decided that they will give up that way of life and support the Deputy Mayor in her drive to bring law and order back into the community.
