Skating to a Better Future

Two skateboards parks were recently opened at Rygerdal Primary School and Saxonsea Primary School in Atlantis.

Both parks were built here in Atlantis at Saxonsea Primary. The parks are also a result of our partnership with Indigo Youth Movement, who built the parks, trained the instructors and will operationally manage the parks’ usage with the respective school management teams. To ensure learner safety, programming is offered in stages and is always supervised.

A key focus of the After School Game Changer is to introduce quality, fun and exciting after school programmes in our communities, which learners want to participate in. These programmes respond to diverse interests including sports, recreational activities, art, drama, music and technology.

The skateboard parks are for those learners who enjoy an adrenaline rush. We look forward to seeing the many skateboard champions coming out of Atlantis in the future.
