Welcome to Cape Town and the Western Cape

Like in other top destinations, it's important to be safe and vigilant while exploring our province. Our Tourism Safety and Support unit provide assistance to international tourists who may find themselves in distress.

How we provide support

We offer the following:

Providing emotional support & hospital visits

Contacting family & friends

Making logistical arrangements

Liaising with embassies and consulates for passports 

We don't offer:

Financial assistance

Replacing lost items

Providing medical attention

Compensating for loss

Offering legal advise
