Municipal Economic Services

Municipal Economic Support includes representing the Department in aligning and supporting local policy positions, plans and delivery linked to JDMA and IDP processes, and driving WCG economic advocacy and leadership in districts.

In partnership with municipalities, it supports implementing catalytic projects in regions that benefit local businesses. It proactively builds public and private sector coordination to strengthen local business ecosystems to own local initiatives to stimulate economic activity and create impactful delivery across regions.
