Due to maintenance work between the access to Mooivallei and the NG Church in Bonnievale, traffic will be controlled by means of a stop-go control system. The control system will be in place between 1 July 2024 and 2 August 2024. Please allow for additional travel time.
Maintenance work is currently underway on the road between the R60 and Bonnievale. This includes the rehabilitation of the portion between the Mooivallei dairy factory and the Dutch Reformed (NG) Church in Bonnievale.
The rehabilitation will entail the in-situ reconstruction of the road. This will be done in half-width construction with traffic in both directions being maintained on one lane, while the other lane is being reconstructed. Traffic will be controlled by means of 24hr stop/go control.
The safety and convenience of the travelling public is of utmost importance. The implementation of the road closure will ensure that the safety on the road is not compromised during this period.
The public is requested to allow for additional travelling time and to exercise the necessary caution when using the road.
