Motorcycle driver awareness event in Worcester

Provincial Minister of Mobility Daylin Mitchell welcomed more than 100 motorcyclists at the Mountain Mill Mall in Worcester on 22 October.

The programme formed part of DTPW Road Safety Management’s October Transport Month activities to raise awareness about road safety, with a special focus at this event on motorcycle safety.

Minister Mitchell was joined by Breede Valley Deputy Mayor Juben von Willingh, the President of the Motorcycle Association of Western Cape Marc Worship, and officials from the Western Cape Education Department and provincial department of Health and Wellness.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) conducted a demonstration on accident scene safety, while Gene Louw Traffic College demonstrated K53 driving skills tests.
