Premier Winde and Minister Allen to embark on a safety Programme in Stellenbosch

On 16 August 2023, Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde and provincial Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen, will embark on various safety initiatives in the Stellenbosch area. 

These initiatives include:

1. Oversight visits at the Stellenbosch, Kayamandi and Cloetesville South African Police Service (SAPS) stations;

2. Conducting a vehicle checkpoint (VCP)/roadblock and

3. Patrolling with local neighbourhood watches (NHWs), Community Police Forums (CPFs) and various other safety stakeholders.

ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

There will be opportunities for photographs and interviews.

16:00 – 16:55 Promoting safety and engaging motorists at vehicle checkpoint (VCP) TBC Information to be shared on Wednesday morning

19:00 – 20:00 Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) patrol TBC Information to be shared on Wednesday morning
