A year in review
The Office of the Western Cape Commissioner for Children celebrates it’s first year. It has been a year of tremendous growth as we establish the first office of its kind in the country. Christina Nomdo, Commissioner for Children, says, “I am proud that we were able to develop creative ways to connect with children and involve them in our office, albeit being established in the midst of a global pandemic.” Through our two child participation models we connect daily with the lived realities of children in the province. We are proud of all our accomplishments over the past year. It was no small feat. We look forward to working toward systems change to better realise children's rights especially their right to particiation. Click here to read more about our first year.
