Mbekweni e-Centre

About Mbekweni e-Centre

Mbekweni, which means “a place of respect” in isiXhosa, is a township in the Western Cape about 60 km north of Cape Town. During the late 1950s black residents were systematically moved to Langabuya (meaning "the sun must return") and Mbekweni, both townships on the eastern edge of Paarl.

Our e-centre is located in the Mbekweni Thusong Service Centre. It is easy and convenient for community members to access and it is located in the same building as the social development office, where community members can also access social workers and health care facilities.
